After hearing a boy cry out for help from the tall grass, siblings Cal and a pregnant Becky enter the vast field of grass, only to find that there may be no way out. “Silence of the Lambs”

Taking it back to the classics, “Silence of the Lambs” is the perfect mixture of chilling, dark, and suspenseful. FBI trainee Clarice Starling visits an asylum in an attempt to figure out Hannibal Lecter — a psychiatrist turned cannibal. Entailing a lot of murder, cooking, and deep conversations, this popular horror film morphs fear into anticipation and suspense, using gore to delve into the psychological depth of the human mind (quite literally).

“Bird Box”

“Bird Box,” a 2018 horror/ science fiction film, became the center of attention at the time. The movie surrounds a woman who tries to anchor her two children to safety against a malevolent supernatural entity that has driven most of society to suicide. “Hush”

“Hush” is a classic slasher film. The title alone draws in the audience and provides a general synopsis of the plot. It follows the tale of a deaf writer who had lost the ability to see and hear. The movie contains the perfect amount of mystery and suspense. It is guaranteed to leave viewers on the edge, hoping the protagonist makes it out alive after being stalked and targeted by a crazy, masked killer.

“1922”

Set in 1922, and inspired by Stephen King’s 1922 novella, this film explores the horrors surrounding the murder of the protagonist’s wife by him and his son, and the price he must pay for his crime. This horror movie stays true to the novella, and is sure to keep anyone up at night.
